I also helped to redefine corporate strategy and strategically position new messaging and wrote new branded content that spoke clearly and more directly to target audiences.
For an internet advertising company, I was referred in by a lawyer and provided assistance and talent that helped to decrease costs associated with hiring, tighten operations, and the on-boarding of a lean and effective sales team. This firm was creating a disruption in local merchant advertising with a new approach and rewards program services to help merchants get new customers to use their products.
For one of the most exclusive prep schools in the United States, I provided assistance that helped them to prepare the school community against the threat of human pandemic influenza raised by the recurring avian influenza.
A fast growing company was struggling to find and keep the right talent across marketing, sales and customer support. The CEO asked his business consultant if he knew anyone who could help provide the extra layer of support and my name was mentioned. I met with the company and a few days later began helping them source and hire the right people into the firm.
For a professional services firm, I was asked to improve in-house recruitment capabilities and set up a new applicant tracking system (ATS) in order to increase efficiency in recruiting and hiring and to ensure consistency and compliance in the recruitment and selection process. Included in this effort were to get a lean, affordable, easy-to-use solution up and running in days not weeks, build in a new set of processes and structure for in-house recruitment across the organization, improve recruiting and expand capability across the entire organization, make candidate sourcing simple and easy to do, make it much easier for candidates to apply and engage, hone their offering and sales pitches to attract more of the right talent, rewrite job descriptions to appeal to a broader candidate pool, improve visibility of open jobs to improve attraction, start to build up a talent pool of candidates for more proactive hiring, deliver a solution to decrease costs (and effort) associated with recruiting, and decrease future dependency on third-party agency fees.
For a regional, emerging provider of home health services, I provided assistance that helped them to focus business strategy, set up an affordable and easy-to-use applicant tracking system, build out their marketing department, develop metrics to understand costs and opportunities associated with new customer acquisition, optimize their website to increase customer traffic, and develop sponsored advertising program (SEM) campaigns that together led to new service sales and 150% increase in site traffic.
For a staffing firm, I was asked to identify obstacles holding recruiters back from achieving success. I measured activities, interpreted data, looked for trends and identified “cause-effect” relationships. From our data insights, we were able to develop clear actionable insights, an easy-to-use, best-practice roadmap and new activity goals for the recruiting team.
